In Los Angeles and other cities where there are large Chinese sections, the New Year is celebrated in traditional fashion. The local Chinese in new Chinatown on North Broadway and China City on North Main street today started their eight-day festival with all the glamor [sic] and color of ancient pageantry. Here Marian Lee and Sylvia Wong are shown feeding the Good Luck Lion before a dance.
